Aurora Theatre Offers Festive Fall Happenings this October

Fall is here and Aurora Theatre is helping theatergoers get in the spirit for sweater weather! Couples can keep it thoughtful with a date night at the mainstage with The Roommate or get ready to laugh during Aurora Comedy Nights. Those looking for cultural celebrations can attend Club Babalú: Pop Crossover Edition or Festival del Dia de los Muertos while families can gather together for shows at Aurora Children’s Playhouse. With so much to do all month long, everyone will want to get in on the festive fun at Aurora Theatre this October!

October 5-6 from noon to 5 p.m.

Fans of theatrical attire or thrifting can take advantage of this one-of-a-kind opportunity to dip into Aurora Theatre’s costume shop! Club Babalú: Pop Crossover Edition
Saturday, October 5 at 8 p.m.
Tickets $20 in advance/ $25 at the door
Pop favorites meet Latin classics in this musical and cultural mashup! RNSM (pronounced ‘ransom’) will bridge generations with re-inventions of classic and current pop songs, infusing them with Latin-style sound for an energetic, charismatic result. After intermission, audiences can continue partying on the dance floor with the hip-swinging rhythms of Frankie Quiñones and the ATL Salsa All-Stars. Festival del Dia de los Muertos
November 2 from noon – 5 p.m.

During this deliciously delightful celebration, attendees can contribute to a community ofrenda and feast on Mexican delicacies by Talpa Super Mercados – all while enjoying entertainment by Mariachi Jaliciense, Alma Mexicana Folkloric Dance, Danza Azteca Acitalmitchli and tales from storytellers Tersi Bendiburg and Lorena Morales. Aurora Comedy Nights
Hearty laughs and great jokes are guaranteed at Aurora Theatre’s Comedy Nights! In 1880, 10-year-old Winnie Foster, trapped by her strict family’s rules, runs away and discovers the Tuck family who, long ago, had accidentally drank from a spring that gave them eternal life. Winnie promises to keep their dangerous secret but a sinister stranger arrives, planning to steal the immortal water for himself. Audiences will help Winnie make the ultimate choice: to drink and join the Tucks in an everlasting childhood adventure or to live a natural life full of the ordinary beauty of growth and change. Halloween Magic Show

This holiday tradition returns by popular demand for the 10th consecutive year!
