Hyperion Bank Adds Three to Board of Directors, including Atlanta Executive

At its Oct. 17 meeting, the Board of Directors of Hyperion Bank added two additional members, Jill K. Jinks and Gretchen M. Santamour. At its Nov. 21 meeting, Hyperion also added Lara Rhame. Jinks is Chief Executive Officer of Atlanta-based Insurance House Holdings, Santamour is a Partner in Philadelphia law firm Stradley Ronon, and Rhame is Chief U.S. Economist with Philadelphia-based FS Investments.

Jill is an insurance industry veteran with prior community banking experience, Gretchen is a respected attorney with core strengths across a range of issues at the heart of our business and Lara knows, follows and analyzes the economy and financial markets on a level few could conceive.”

Jinks, CPCU, ASLI is CEO of Insurance House Holdings, Inc., Atlanta. She has over 40 years of property and casualty experience. IHH, Inc is the holding company for a regional insurance company and a specialty insurance broker specializing in exotic and unique insurance needs. Jinks has served on numerous boards, including as Trustee for Stetson University. She was a Founding Director on the Board of Private Bank of Buckhead. Jinks is an avid sailor, holding a US Coast Guard 100-ton Merchant Mariner credential. She actively fosters and rescues boxers with Atlanta Boxer Rescue. She is pursuing a PhD at University of Georgia, where she studies complexity and chaos theory.

Santamour, a member of Stradley Ronon’s Finance Practice and Business Reorganization and Bankruptcy Practice groups, focuses her practice on business restructurings, loan workout, loan documentation, bankruptcy, collection and foreclosure litigation. Stradley Ronon helps private and public companies, from small businesses to Fortune 500 corporations, by providing pragmatic, value-driven legal counsel. She serves as the President of the board of the Education Law Center and serves on the Board of Trustees of Arcadia University.

Rhame is Chief U.S. Economist at FS Investments, where she analyzes developments in the global and U.S. economies and financial markets. FS Investments is a leading asset manager dedicated to helping individuals, financial professionals and institutions design better portfolios. Rhame’s fresh take on macroeconomic issues helps inform and develop the firm’s long-term views on the economy, investment trends and issues facing investors. She serves on the boards of the Economy League of Greater Philadelphia and Starr Garden Park.

In addition to Crawford and the three new additions, other members of Hyperion’s board include Louis J. DeCesare, Jr., Hyperion’s President and COO; Virginia M. Duffy, retired attorney; James J. McAlpin, Jr., Partner, Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, LLP; Robert N.C. Nix, III, Founder and President, Pleasant News, Inc.; and Michael J. Purcell, retired Audit Partner, Deloitte & Touché.

With the bank’s recently released Q3 Report to Shareholders, Crawford and DeCesare noted another profitable quarter for Hyperion and positive net income for the first nine months of the year. Also noted was 81 percent loan growth over the last year and the doubling of deposits year over year.
