United Way of Greater Atlanta Introduces New Chief Development Officer, Chad Dillard

United Way of Greater Atlanta announced that Charles (Chad) Dillard has been selected as the organization’s new Chief Development Officer (CDO).
“I am excited to bring my experience in development in the Atlanta market to United Way of Greater Atlanta and eager to see what we can accomplish together,” says Dillard. “United Way of Greater Atlanta has big goals to meet by 2027 – improving the lives of more than 250,000 across the region. I look forward to leading fundraising efforts to make that happen,” says Dillard.
Chad comes to United Way from Georgia State University’s College of Arts & Sciences where he served as Assistant Vice President for Development. In his role at Georgia State, Chad successfully led the college’s $55 million campaign, oversaw the College’s advisory board, and secured numerous gifts from alumni and friends. His contributions included an innovative new major gift portfolio management system; strengthened partnerships with corporations, community organizations, and foundations; and stronger support for the university’s classroom to career pipeline. Prior to Georgia State, Chad worked in major giving at The Carter Center and in alumni relations at Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School, from which he earned a juris doctor degree.

Little, Jr. president and CEO of United Way of Greater Atlanta. “His passion for building up communities and innovative campaigns will be instrumental in supporting our mission of improving child well-being in Atlanta.”
Chad is a graduate of Parkview High School (Lilburn, GA); The University of Georgia and Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School.
