Kolter Homes – a leader in developing next-generation, highly-amenitized, master-planned active adult communities in the Southeastern U.S. – continues to be a leader in 55+ living. The builder is currently bringing its quality new homes to Cresswind Georgia at Twin Lakes, a master-planned development in historic Hoschton, just north of charming Braselton, Georgia.
“Creating new home designs at Kolter Homes is a continuous process of innovation and evolution,” Kolter Group Senior VP of Architecture Mallika Thomas said. “We evolve our floor plans with valuable input and feedback from our prospects and customers across various Cresswind communities in the Southeast.”
According to Thomas, home elevations from Kolter Homes, including those coming soon to Hoschton, address trends in architecture coupled with advances in building materials and technology.
To better serve its consumers and implement design elements they are looking for, Kolter Homes conducts extensive research. For example, the developer recently organized a survey of nearly 5,000 prospects across the Southeastern United States in addition to surveying roughly 1,200 current customers. These studies prompted Kolter Homes to more closely design spaces and floor plans according to the preferences of those surveyed.
Changes made as a result of the surveys include:
Single-story floor plans with options for second story bonus rooms
Open concept living for comfort and entertaining
Spacious and private owner's suites
Flexible spaces that allow a customer to customize their home to suit their lifestyle
Outdoor living areas to increase indoor-outdoor connectivity
“Cresswind homes are designed specifically for active adults,” Thomas said. “Our home plans are a celebration of open concept living, and the integration of indoor and outdoor living spaces expand the livable area within a home that make it an ideal space for entertaining.”
As lifestyles vary based on regional preferences, Kolter Homes also adjusts home designs and standard features for regional diversity. For example, according to Thomas, Florida homebuyers prefer sliding doors that open to the outdoor lanais, while those in Georgia prefer French doors.
Continuing its growth in the Southeast, Kolter Homes is excited to introduce Cresswind Georgia, a new active adult community set within Twin Lakes, a 1,422-acre project that is estimated to be the largest new master-planned development to open in the greater Atlanta area in over a decade. Slated to open this spring, the new homes at Cresswind Georgia at Twin Lakes range from approximately 1,400 to over 2,800 square feet of heated living space with two-to-five bedrooms, two-to-three baths and two- to three-car garages. Structural and design options include golf cart garages, second-floor bonus rooms, sunrooms, patios and basements, per plan.
Residents at Cresswind Georgia at Twin Lakes will enjoy a combination of onsite amenities including a resort-style pool, event lawn, bandshell, walking trails, access to the property’s two lakes, bocce courts, tennis courts and a 30+ court pickleball facility, estimated to be the largest private pickleball complex in the state, capable of hosting major tournaments and events.
Additionally, residents will also appreciate the community’s convenient location near plenty of shopping, dining and entertainment in nearby Braselton. For further exploration, the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains are a short drive away, Lake Lanier is roughly 30 minutes away and downtown Atlanta is only 55 minutes away.
