Thursday, October 16th, 2025
The ATL Airport District Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB), the destination marketing organization for the cities of College Park, Fairburn, Hapeville and Union City, Ga., today announced two executive promotions – LaShanta Taylor to Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Andria “A.T.” Towne to Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). The moves follow a milestone year for the destination marked by record-breaking tourism expenditures of $177 million in FY2024–2025, along with the recent addition of Fairburn to the thriving CVB’s portfolio.
“We are thrilled to recognize LaShanta and A.T. with these well-deserved promotions, which underscore the strength of our leadership team,” said Mercedes Miller, president of the ATL Airport District CVB. “As we celebrate our best year ever and some remarkable recent achievements, we look ahead with anticipation and excitement to another milestone year ahead, including welcoming Fairburn as a city partner and hosting a global audience during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.”
Taylor has nearly 30 years of accounting and finance experience, including two decades in the hospitality industry. Since joining the ATL Airport District in 2012, she has been instrumental in managing the bureau’s multi-million-dollar budget, collaborating with city partners to track expenditures and ensuring the responsible use of taxpayer dollars.
“I am honored to step into the role of Chief Financial Officer,” said LaShanta Taylor. “It’s inspiring to see the efforts of our marketing and sales teams translate into real economic impact for our community, and I look forward to continuing to support that growth in the years ahead.”
Towne has led the CVB’s marketing initiatives since 2013, playing a pivotal role in shaping the brand’s growth and messaging. Among her many accomplishments, she worked with local partners to launch Spin the District, the CVB’s annual signature event. Now entering its eighth year, the cycling series has welcomed hundreds of athletes from around the world, introduced new audiences to the District, expanded tourism’s economic impact, and spotlighted the cities and businesses that comprise the community. Towne contributes to the broader state hospitality industry through her service on the board of directors of the Georgia Association for Convention and Visitors Bureaus (GACVB).
“I’m thrilled to continue serving our destination partners in this new role,” said Towne. “It’s incredibly rewarding to contribute to - and elevate - a community I’m so passionate about. I’m grateful to work alongside such an amazing team and I look forward to expanding our efforts and welcoming Fairburn to our destination portfolio.”
