The City of Peachtree Corners is proud to announce that it has once again been awarded the Health Wellness Grant from the GMEBS Life & Health Insurance Fund. This marks the second consecutive year the City has received this recognition and support for its employee wellness initiatives.

For 2025, the City has been awarded $3,000—an increase of $500 from last year’s grant. Half of the award has already been distributed, with the remaining funds to be released in early 2026 following completion of the Mid-Year Wellness Report.

The Health Wellness Grant program supports organizations that go above and beyond in promoting workplace wellness and cultivating a healthy, supportive culture. As part of the grant, the City has designated Jennifer Bonacci as its Health Wellness Champion, tasked with coordinating targeted wellness activities in partnership with the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA). Ms. Bonacci has also been invited to attend the official Grant Training Workshop, which serves as the kickoff for the new grant year.

“The City of Peachtree Corners recognizes the importance of investing in the health and well-being of its employees,” said City Manager Brian Johnson. “Wellness initiatives not only support individual employees but also strengthen the entire organization and community.”

The City’s Health Wellness Program is designed to:

• Support employees in reaching personal and team health goals.
• Build a strong community of encouragement around health and wellness.
• Drive long-term improvements in health outcomes and reduce overall insurance costs.

To achieve these goals, the City has established a Wellness Committee to work alongside the Health Wellness Champion. Together, they will implement sustainable programs, encourage positive lifestyle changes, and provide employees with the tools to improve their physical and emotional health.

This continued recognition underscores Peachtree Corners’ commitment to fostering a workplace environment where health and well-being are a priority for all employees.
