Cresswind Georgia at Twin Lakes marks its fifth anniversary in 2025 with a series of special events celebrating five years of connection, activity and award-winning living. The community opened just before the COVID-19 shutdown and, despite the uncertainty that followed, quickly became a shining example of resilience and community spirit. Over the past five years, Cresswind Georgia has welcomed 710 homeowners since opening and grown into one of the Southeast’s most vibrant 55+ destinations.

“From the very beginning, Kolter Homes has been dedicated to creating a lifestyle that inspires wellness, activity, and connection,” said Jennifer Landers, Community Director at Cresswind Georgia at Twin Lakes. “The growth of our community and the expansion of our Pickleball Center are reflections of how that vision continues to come to life every day.”

Ranked as the No. 1 selling active adult community in Georgia by MarketNsight for the past 4 years, the community was honored as the 55+ Housing Community of the Year in 2023 by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association at the annual OBIE Awards.

One of five celebratory anniversary events, a ribbon-cutting on October 25, marks the expansion of Cresswind Georgia’s popular Pickleball Center to 33 courts. This event will feature a pickleball clinic for those interested in learning more about the sport.

The state-of-the-art facility and Eagle’s Nest pavilion are favorite gathering spots for residents and spectators alike, embodying the active, social lifestyle that defines the Cresswind brand. With this expansion, Kolter Homes continues to elevate Cresswind Georgia as a premier destination for both recreational and competitive pickleball play.

According to the Association of Pickleball Professionals, pickleball was the fastest-growing sport in the U.S. from 2022 to 2023, with participation up 51.8%. In total, 48.3 million adults in the U.S. played pickleball at least once in the 12 months through March 2025.

Residents of Cresswind Georgia also enjoy a robust array of other amenities, including a resort-style pool, clubhouse and fitness center, community garden, event lawn and miles of scenic walking trails.

Cresswind Georgia at Twin Lakes has grown into one of the Southeast’s most vibrant 55+ destinations, evidenced by 141 home closings recorded in 2024. Adding to its list of accolades, Cresswind Georgia at Twin Lakes was named the 55+ Housing Community of the Year at the 2023 OBIE Awards, presented by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association.

The community is commemorating its fifth anniversary with special events through the end of the year. The first two events, a Move-In Ready Homes Passport Tour and Cheers to 5 Years, were popular amongst active adult homebuyers. Additional anniversary events are scheduled on November 15 and December 7.
