The Atlanta History Center, in partnership with Georgia 4-H and University of Georgia Cooperative Extension, hosted a seasonal celebration of fall on the farm on Sep. 20 featuring historic demonstrations, seasonal garden activities and fall-themed games.

Building on the long-standing relationship between Fulton County 4-H and the Atlanta History Center, this year’s Fall Fest invited 4-H’ers from around the state to attend the public event, which included hands-on learning activities guided by UGA Extension agents from all program areas, including 4-H, Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) and Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR).

The 4-H’ers in attendance were welcomed by Atlanta History Center leadership including F. Sheffield Hale, chief executive officer, and Sarah Carter, vice president of Goizueta Gardens and Living Collections.

The Atlanta History Center encompasses 33 acres of gardens, four historic houses, varied programming and a range of signature and temporary exhibits that preserve and study Atlanta history.
