Mirae to Open in Brookhaven this Friday

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Thursday, October 23rd, 2025

Mirae, a new, modern Asian-fusion concept, will debut in the heart of Brookhaven, Georgia, at Parkside on Dresden on Friday, October 24. Translating to “future” in Korean, Mirae is the latest project from local residents and husband-and-wife restaurateurs John and Grace Lee, the team behind other successful eateries across the Atlanta area. Limited reservations on select dates are now live via Resy. Walk-in service and expanded hours will follow in the coming weeks (follow Mirae's Instagram for updates).

Exploring the richness of Asian culinary traditions, Mirae’s menu is creative, balanced and modern, featuring interpretations of traditional comfort dishes that draw on the founders’ heritage and culinary direction. Offering a curated, coursed experience for each guest, the menu emphasizes high-quality, thoughtfully sourced ingredients and features soups and salads, including Crab Bisque with yuzu oil & wasabi chips; and Confit Cabbage Salad with black garlic purée & miso butter emulsion, in addition to appetizers and entrees. Signature dishes include Shrimp Toast (Menbosha) with reduced white wine emulsion; Claypot Chicken with bouillon rice, mushroom & truffle; Aged Wagyu Don with goma abura, nori, nanatsuboshi rice, yuzu cream & nama tamago; and Miso-Braised Short Ribs with duchess wasabi mashed potatoes.

Behind the bar, the beverage program mirrors the kitchen’s creativity, offering a list of craft cocktails, a refined selection of sakes and sojus, and a variety of wines – all chosen to complement the menu’s layered flavors. Signature cocktails include the Dancing Flower with Japanese gin, Campari, ginger, raspberry & balsamic; Crouching Tiger with tequila, ancho verde, empirical & sudachi; Whisper of Kyoto with Japanese whiskey, amaretto, pineapple & egg white; and Shanghai Mule with vodka, five spice, coconut & ginger tea.

“We’re excited to bring Mirae to life and showcase a menu filled with dishes that hold personal meaning to us,” said owners John and Grace Lee. ”Curated with favorites from our childhoods mixed with flavors we’ve enjoyed while traveling, our menu was designed to reflect the same warmth and comfort that first drew us to Brookhaven. We hope our guests feel right at home at Mirae, which is intended to be a place to come together, connect and eat great food.”

Just as meaningful as the food is the experience: one grounded in attentive and thoughtful service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels both elevated and personal. With modern design and natural elements, the 5,000-square-foot space is intended to evoke a serene, at-home dining experience. Guests enter a sleek, organic space featuring high ceilings, an earthy color palette, minimalistic seating and intimate lighting, all anchored by a zen garden in the center of the space and a spacious bar.

Mirae will open for dinner at Parkside on Dresden – a property that completes the pedestrian-friendly retail and restaurant experience along Dresden Drive, connecting Brookhaven Village to the Brookhaven MARTA and Peachtree Road.
