New Tiny Doors ATL Installment to be Revealed in Town Center Community on October 25th
Wednesday, October 15th, 2025
Town Center Community will debut the newest Tiny Doors ATL installation, and the first outside the Atlanta perimeter, along the Noonday Creek Trail in Kennesaw, this fall.
In partnership with Tiny Doors ATL and Cobb Travel & Tourism, a reveal event is scheduled for Saturday, October 25 at 8:30 a.m., featuring merchandise giveaways and commentary from Town Center Community, Cobb Travel & Tourism and Tiny Doors ATL. Additionally, Karen Anderson Singer, the artist behind Tiny Doors ATL, will be present for a meet and greet and photos.
The art installation is part of Town Center Community’s broader placemaking initiative to bring public art into community spaces. Recently, two murals by artists Kelsey Wishik and Leigh Ann Culver were added along the Noonday Creek Trail. There are now six art installations that can be experienced along 2.8 miles of the trail.
Singer’s seven-inch Tiny Door sculptures are crafted to capture the spirit, architecture and character of the communities they inhabit. Since 2014, Tiny Doors ATL has brought a sense of wonder to public spaces with more than 30 interactive installations across Atlanta, from the Carter Presidential Center to Centennial Olympic Park and the Center for Puppetry Arts. Visited millions of times by visitors from around the world, the installations have become a beloved part of the city’s cultural landscape.
“Public art has the power to connect people to the places they live, work and explore,” said Tracy Styf, executive director of Town Center CID. “By incorporating murals and installations along the Noonday Creek Trail, we’re able to create opportunities for residents and visitors to experience art as part of their everyday lives. We’re honored to be the first public location for Tiny Doors ATL outside of the Atlanta perimeter.”
After scouting numerous sites along the trail, Singer selected the door installation location because it provided her with the most creative inspiration. The piece is inspired by the area’s natural landscape and includes a whimsical flair found in all her pieces.
“My goal is to pull from the landscape of my surroundings and to be particularly interactive,” said Singer. “This is the first door that is its own standalone experience, and I want to impact people in a way that they feel inspired to come back again and again.”
Singer has been the recipient of the Art on Atlanta Beltline grant nine years in a row and was awarded Atlanta’s first ever Tiny Key to the City in 2018.
