Union City Reimaging Park Project Names Construction Partner

 The Union City Council announced Manhattan Construction Company, one of the nation’s leading construction services firms, as the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) for the Reimagine Park Project, a key component of the city’s ongoing effort to develop a landscape for community recreation as part of its R3 Master Plan.  Phase one of construction is expected to begin in December 2025 and deliver in April 2026.

The three zones of the Union City R3 Master Plan will be unified by the planned park, serving as an ecological corridor and continuous open green space for residents and tourists. Located at Mall Blvd, the park will span 15 acres and weave together quality housing, restaurants,retail and offices.  

Once completed, the property will include a state-of-the-art amphitheater with seating for up to 3,000 guests, including a bandshell, green room, and stand-alone buildings for restrooms, concessions and ticketing.
