Staff Report From Metro Atlanta CEO
Thursday, April 2nd, 2020
McKinley Homes, the developer of Seven88 West Midtown and multiple residential communities throughout metro Atlanta, donated 10,000 surgical face masks and 500 N95 face masks to hospitals in need. Northside Hospital Gwinnett received 5,000 surgical masks and Emory University Hospital received 5,000 surgical and 500 N95 masks to assist their battles against the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus).
Face masks to protect hospital workers and medical professionals are critically low due to the rapid increase in coronavirus cases across metro Atlanta. Hospitals are rationing face masks and local businesses, like McKinley Homes, are working to meet the massive need.
“Our hope is that this donation of medical grade and N95 face masks helps to protect our front-line medical professionals who are working tirelessly to ensure the safety of metro Atlantans who have contracted COVID-19,” McKinley Homes President Jinsong Yang said. “This is our way of giving back to the community that supports our livelihood.”
“We are grateful for this donation,” said Gina Solomon, Northside Hospital Gwinnett Trauma Program Director. "The outpouring of support from community members and local businesses such as McKinley Homes has been greatly appreciated by our hospital system.”
McKinley Homes has embraced technology as a way to provide home shoppers with a safe way to view homes. Video appointments and virtual tours are available for its 18 metro Atlanta area communities, including Seven88 West Midtown.
