Metcam, a metro Atlanta-based fabricator of sheet metal components and assemblies for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), has hired John Mazurek as Director of Sales & Marketing. In his new role, Mazurek is responsible for growing the company’s business across its entire portfolio.
“We are thrilled to have John join the Metcam team,” said Bruce Hagenau, Metcam’s Co-Owner and President. “John brings both high energy and a wealth of metal fabrication experience to our company, and we’re very excited about the new opportunities that he has already brought us and those that are in his burgeoning pipeline.”
Mazurek has launched two metal fabrication companies in Illinois and Texas. The Chicago native headed up Mazurek Marketing Services for more than 12 years and served as director of sales and global
development for ITS Traffic Systems for seven years. With degrees in business and chemistry, Mazurek started working as a bench chemist at Amoco Chemicals before moving into purchasing and then sales. He has served in national and international sales manager roles for Ferro Corporation and Morton Powder Coatings.
“Metcam and I both share a strong passion for customer service through on-time delivery with exceptional quality,” Mazurek said. “That common belief was immediately apparent.
And the company really builds on that fundamental value with its commitment to Kaizen, innovation, value-added services and much more. It’s really great to join and be able to market that kind of team.”
Whether adding to its roster of talented personnel with a 35-year sales and marketing leader or developing from within, Metcam remains steadfastly committed to continuous improvement, with the benefits flowing not only to clients, but also employees, the environment and the community at large. Since being named 2018 Georgia Manufacturer of the Year, the 30-year-old company has won Forsyth County's Manufacturers of Distinction & Leadership (MODL) Award for Environmental Sustainability and been named to the Fab 40, The FABRICATOR’s ranking of the 40 most successful metal fabricating operations.
