The Career Advancement Center at Georgia State University’s Robinson College of Business will hold virtual career events the week of April 13 with Milletech Systems and the Georgia FinTech Academy.
On Wednesday, April 15, Milletech Systems, an Alpharetta-based provider of enterprise resource planning business solutions, will hold a virtual career session for graduate and undergraduate students of Georgia State’s computer information systems and computer science programs. The company plans to hire 80 students and graduates from area universities to work in cloud software development at a newly established center in downtown Atlanta. Georgia State students can register here. The company is filling part- and full-time positions. The session will take place from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
“This is a unique opportunity for a large number of our students and alumni to secure jobs in a short period of time,” said Tedra Cheatham, director of business partner development.
On Friday, April 17, the Georgia FinTech Academy, a talent development collaboration between the state’s fintech industry and the University System of Georgia, will hold its first virtual career fair. The event is open to students and alumni of University System institutions. Ten participating companies are hiring for summer internships and full-time positions. The FinTech Academy’s virtual career fair will take place between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Georgia State students and alumni register at here. Students and alumni of other University System institutions register here.
“The Georgia FinTech Academy wanted to respond aggressively to help University System students during this challenging time,” said Tommy Marshall, executive director of the Academy. “Many jobs in fintech, particularly in banking, are essential services; these companies are continuing to hire.”
