AG Chris Carr Kicks Off Annual Fundraising Competition to Benefit Georgia’s Regional Food Banks

Attorney General Chris Carr, Feeding Georgia, and the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia are kicking off the 14th Annual Georgia Legal Food Frenzy – a two-week fundraising competition to benefit the state’s regional food banks. Since its inception, the Legal Food Frenzy has generated $6.7 million representing more than 26.8 million meals for those in need.

Georgia Ports Grows March Container Trade 22.5%

In its busiest March ever, the Port of Savannah’s container trade increased by 22.5 percent or 98,000 TEUs compared to the same month last year. In intermodal cargo, the Port of Savannah set an all-time record of 52,645 containers moved by rail, an increase of 17 percent over the same month last year.
